Féile Solas takes place in the scenic surrounds of Whiddy Island in Bantry Bay. Whiddy Island is just a scenic and beautiful 15 minute ferry ride from Bantry.
Regular Ferries are available from Bantry pier (via scheduled provider) and there will be additional festival ferry services, on the hour, provided across the weekend.
Ferry price is €8 return.

From Cork
Driving - 1 hr 30 mins via the N71
Bus - Route 236 (Bus Eireann) and Route 229 (West Cork Connect) buses from Cork city (around 1.5–2 hrs)

From Limerick
Driving - 3 hrs (via Cork)
Bus - Travel via Cork city, then connect to Bantry

From Galway
Driving - 3.5 hrs (via Limerick/Cork)
Bus - Galway → Cork → Bantry

From Dublin
About 4 hrs via the M7/M8 + N71
Bus - Dublin → Cork → Bantry

There is Free parking at various locations around Bantry Town.
Our festival days gets busy — Arrival is advised on Friday evening at the latest.
Bantry is compact, so once parked, everything is walkable including the ferry connection.

Please note that vehicles are parked at the owner’s discretion, and while we do our best to help things run smoothly, the festival cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.

Camping is included in the entry pass. There is a main campsite within the main festival area. Toilet and shower facilities are available here via the community hall.

Ciúnas Campsite

For those who prefer a quieter festival camping experience, this smaller campsite is located just a short 10-minute walk from the community hall.

Féile Solas is a strictly 18 years and over festival.

Limited amounts of plugs will be available onsite. To avoid the stress of trying to get access to a plug, we encourage you to have phones fully charged on arrival and to bring battery packs if possible.

Toilets and showers are available onsite. Toilets are available 24/7 however shower times are limited to certain hours each day

we have a "no glass" policy at this event. you will not be allowed enter the event with glass bottles.

We’d love to leave the island just as beautiful as we found it once the festival wraps up. There will be compost bins and re-turn recycling facilities available, and we kindly ask that you take any other rubbish home with you. Thanks for helping us care for this special place!
